Creveling & Creveling – Bangkok, Thailand

Creveling & Creveling: Full Service Financial Planners That Build Index Fund Portfolios For All Expatriate Nationalities

Chad and Peggy Creveling are based in Bangkok.  The American couple each carries CFP designations (Certified Financial Planners).

They’re also CFAs (Chartered Financial Analysts) and previously worked as equity research analysts.  “We mentor clients on an ongoing basis,” explains Peggy, “usually communicating monthly during the first 6 to 12 months.”

Instead of building a large client base, the Crevelings focus on a high level of continual service.  “Our client base is relatively small,” says Chad, “but full service planning is extremely time intensive.”  “Many expats have partners of different nationalities,” explains Peggy.  “We keep abreast of international tax regulations, ensuring our clients can legally maximize their financial potential.”

Chad says many expats also require coaching, in order to save enough money. “Not only do we build indexed portfolios for our clients, but we assist them with a comprehensive plan.  We help them monitor their income, expenditures, tax planning, and future retirement needs.”

As of 2014, the Crevelings charged 1.2 percent on assets for accounts between $750,000 and $1 million.  Above that threshold, fee percentages drop.  In contrast, most offshore pensions cost 3-4 times that amount.  Those selling such products are typically less qualified, and offer a diluted level of professional service.

I highly recommend this couple, especially if your financial matters are complicated, or you’re part of a mixed nationality couple. The Crevelings are global experts on international tax laws.
