Free Simple Smart Investing Talk At Dubai College: Sunday, February 26th, at 6:45pm

There’s a popular global group called the Bogleheads.

They’re disciples of the man who started Vanguard, the largest mutual fund group in the world.

Vanguard is run much like a nonprofit firm. It’s a cooperative.

Nobody owns Vanguard–with the exception of you (and the others) who invest in Vanguards funds.

As an expat, you can buy Vanguard’s stock market ETFs (exchange traded index funds). By doing so, you would avoid the horribly expensive financial firms that fleece expats in the Middle East.

Most of the investment firms in the Middle East wouldn’t be able to sell their products in more regulated environments.

Representatives from these firms call you at home and at work. You’re often left wondering, “How did they get my number?”

Representatives from these firms also email you. Again, you’re often left wondering, “How did they get my email?”

I’ll be speaking about these firms at Dubai College, on Sunday February 26th, at 6:45pm.

I’ll also speak about how to invest in low cost index funds, just like a Boglehead.

The local nonprofit chapter of the Bogleheads group will be hosting the talk. Dubai College was kind enough to offer them a venue.

You can register for the talk on Facebook, here.

You can also register at Meetup, here.
