Is This The Key To Living Longer?

None of us know how long we’re going to live.

We might look at life-expectancy tables. We might estimate our end-dates based on lifestyle and age.

Statistically, people who smoke or live an unhealthy lifestyle don’t live as long. Those who eat well and exercise are supposed to live longer.

But even young, fit people can kick the bucket anytime.

We’ve all read stories about college and professional athletes dying in their prime of cardiac arrest.

Cancer (and any number of nasty diseases) can end the party anytime.

Having said that, there is a way to live longer.

Nice thoughts Andrew…and of course true….if we do not die from an accident then we all, pass from heart attack, stroke or cancer..(even those found to have passed peacefully in their sleep). I have had three (different) years breaks from work…and will never regret them…I will never regret moving around so much and trying various countries to work in….and yet I also realise that this is a great blessing and privelege….because living one’ dream etc cannot be applicable to everyone. Think of the poor, those who really struggle, the desperation one sees of someone trying to find a job….they don’t have even the luxury to think of mini retirements or breaks or dream living…they struggle to just put food on the table. So in between our great privelege of being expats or chasing our dreams…if we can just try help one other person, one other family.or even any other living creature…then our lives will be so enriched and supplies a deep need within us that goes beyond our own dream. If we take even one small, action….for another human or living creature….those actions helps others to live their dreams as well.
